Key requirements

University degree in a listed or related field; a Master's is preferred.Preferred
At least 8 years of senior advisory work experience.
At least 3 assignments in policy development or planning.
Experience as a government-embedded technical adviser, including mentoring and capacity development.
At least 2 workshop organisation and facilitation assignments.
Excellent spoken and written English and Somali, including translation skills.
Knowledge of Somalia's development context, especially Southwest State.

Main responsibilities

Research and draft the Southwest State Aid Policy.
Review data and identify aid coordination and legislative gaps.
Coordinate policy work with government and project teams.
Facilitate district consultations and stakeholder validation workshops.
Support Somali translation and official policy launch.
