Key requirements

Master’s degree in industrial economics, development economics, business administration, or related field
At least 8 years of relevant industrial development or related experience
Knowledge of industrial policy, business formalization, SEZ governance, or productive sectors
Experience with intellectual property or quality and standards systems is an advantagePreferred
Experience with World Bank or international development projects is highly preferredPreferred
Proficient in English
Fluency in Somali is an advantagePreferred

Main responsibilities

Develop industrial work plans, regulations, standards, and incentives
Promote business formalization and export readiness
Support Special Economic Zones and intellectual property administration
Coordinate government institutions and private-sector stakeholders
Train Ministry and SEZ staff and support consultations
Prepare implementation plans, training materials, and progress reports
