1.What cookies and device storage are

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep, so it can remember something between pages or visits.

Your browser also has local storage, where a website can keep larger things on your device, such as a CV you are writing. Local storage stays on your device and is not sent to us.

2.The cookies we use

Every cookie below is essential: the site needs it to work the way you asked.

• Sign-in cookies (names starting with sb-): keep you signed in. Set when you sign in, removed when you sign out. Our sign-in provider, Supabase, sets them for us.
• NEXT_LOCALE: the language you chose, so the site opens in it. Kept for 1 year.
• zt-lang-chosen: remembers that you already answered the language question. Kept for 1 year.
• zt-cookies: remembers that you saw the cookie notice. Kept for 1 year.
• zt-install: remembers that you said “Not now” to installing the app. Kept for 30 days.

Because there is nothing optional to switch off, the cookie notice has an OK button and no “reject” button. It appears only after you have started looking around, and never covers the page when you first arrive.

3.What we keep on your device

Your browser's local storage keeps:

• The CV and cover letter you are writing, and their designs, until you save them to your account.
• Your progress in the AI CV builder.
• Your interview course progress, quiz scores and practice notes.
• The scholarships you saved and your checklist ticks.
• Your last Job Explainer and Job Match results (only while the tab is open).
• Small reminders: that a CV was already saved to your account, and tips you have already seen (such as how to save a PDF).
• For this visit only (removed when you close the tab): how many pages you opened, whether you have been here before (read from the zt-cookies cookie) and whether you used a tool. It lets the cookie notice and the install invitation wait until you have looked around. Nothing is counted from one visit to the next.

This stays on this device. It is sent to us only when you use it with a tool (for example, when the AI turns your notes into a CV) or save it to your account.

4.If you install the app

You can install ZitTalent on your phone or computer, so it opens from your home screen like an app. Your browser then keeps copies of the site's public files (pictures, styles and code), so it opens quickly and shows a short message when you are offline.

Pages that show your information are never kept this way.

5.What we do not use

• No advertising cookies.
• No analytics or statistics cookies.
• No social media buttons or pixels that track you.
• No cookies from other companies, except the sign-in cookies our provider sets for us.

6.Your choices

You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Deleting the sign-in cookies signs you out; deleting local storage removes work you have not saved to your account.

You can also remove everything ZitTalent keeps on this device with the button below. Your account, and anything saved to it, is not affected.

7.Changes

If we ever want to use a cookie that is not essential (for example, to count visits), we will update this page first and ask for your permission before setting it.
